Charity SUP Paddle 2021

On the 19th of July 2021, Alan will Stand Up Paddle (SUP) from Tramore Beach to try to become the first person to SUP 1,500 kilometres around Ireland.

Alan will be supported by a sailboat and a two-person volunteer team for the first four weeks as they try to SUP the Wild Atlantic Way. After the first four weeks, Alan aims to continue solo and unsupported, carrying his supplies and camping until he makes it back to Tramore.

The RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in Ireland and the UK, and their seasonal lifeguards look after people on busy beaches. The RNLI Flood Rescue Team helps those affected by flooding too.

The RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives since 1824.

They’re more than a rescue service. The RNLI influence, supervise and educate people as well. Their Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or the coast. Also, their international teams work with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk worldwide.
